MIDDLESEX DECLARATION OF EUROPE'S PRECARIAT 2004
London - Middlesex University
We networkers and flextimers of Northern and Southern Europe, autonomously
gathered at Middlesex University and determined to go beyond crippling ESF,
solemnly join minds and bodies in the present declaration of conflict against
Europe's governments and corporate bureaucracies. We denounce police harassment
and persecution of activists in London. We express our unwavering determination
to fight against enforced precarity and for the right to a secure and decent
living all over Europe. We will act to assert the rights of all humans within
Europe regardless of where they were born or how long they have been here.
We demand freedom of migration into and within the EU.
On April 2nd, a common day of action will see all of us joining migrants'
struggles for free movement across borders, with mobilizations in more than
40 european cities. We will employ all methods of direct action and subvertising
at our disposal to support strikes, pickets, stoppages, boycotts, blockades,
sabotages, protests all over Europe. We agree to shape a transeuropean network
of movements and collectives determined to agitate against freemarketeers
for social rights valid for all human beings living in Europe.
We have decided to prepare for a common EURO MAYDAY 2005, to be held on
May 1st in all of Europe's major cities, calling for angry temps, disgruntled
parttimers, frustrated unemployed, raging immigrants and labor activists
to mobilize against precarity and inequality, in order to reclaim flexibility
from managers and executives: we demand flexicurity against flexploitation.
We will gather in Berlin in midJanuary 2005 to decide a common protest action
against the sanctuaries of EU power, in order to launch euromaydays and
the supporting structured network of labor radicalism and media activism
tentatively called NEU, Networkers of Europe United. We call onto all our
European sisters and brothers, be they autonomous marxists, postindustrial
anarchists, syndicalists, feminists, antifas, queers, anarchogreens, hacktivists,
cognitive workers, casualized laborers, outsourced and/or subcontracted
employees and the like, to network and organize for a common social and
political action in Europe. We are eurogeneration insurgent: our idea of
Europe is a radical, libertarian, transnationalist, antidystopian, open
democratic space able to counter global bushism and oppressive, exploitative,
powermad, planetwrecking, warmongering neoliberalism in Europe and elsewhere.

Nous, travailleurs et travailleuses flexibles et en réseau (Networkers
et Flextimers) d'Europe du Nord et du Sud, rassemblés de manière
autonome à l'Université du Middlesex, et déterminés
à dépasser la sclérose du Forum Social, joignons solennellement
nos esprits et nos corps dans la présente déclaration de guerre
aux gouvernements européens et bureaucraties institutionnelles.
Nous dénonçons les abus et les persécutions policières
contre les activistes à Londres. Nous exprimons notre détermination
inébranlable à combattre la précarité dans toute
l'Europe.
Nous mettrons tout en oeuvre pour affirmer les droits des Européens
de première génération ainsi que la liberté
de circulation au sein de l'Union Européenne. Nous emploierons toute
méthode d'action directe et de subversion à notre disposition
afin de soutenir les grèves, les immobilisations, les boycotts, les
blocus, les sabotages et les actions de protestations dans toute l'Europe.
Nous souhaitons constituer un réseau transeuropéen de mouvements
et de collectifs déterminés à agir avec virulence contre
les représentants du libre-échange et pour les droits sociaux
valables pour tous les êtres humains vivant sur le sol européen.
Nous avons décidé de préparer ensemble une Journée
européenne du 1er Mai en 2005 (EuroMayDay), qui se tiendra dans les
principales villes d'Europe, en appelant les travailleurs temporaires en
colère, les temps-partiels mécontents, et les syndicalistes
à se mobiliser contre la précarité et l'inégalité,
à revendiquer la flexibilité face aux dirigeants et bureaucrates,
assurant ainsi la « flexécurité » contre la «
flexploitation. »
Nous nous retrouverons à Berlin début 2005 pour décider
d'une action commune de protestation contre les sanctuaires du pouvoir de
l'Union Européenne, de façon à lancer les journées
juropéennes du 1er Mai ainsi le réseau structuré de
soutien au radicalisme ouvrier et au médiactivisme appelé
provisoirement NEU « Networkers of Europe United. » Nous appelons
tous nos frères et soeurs européens, qu'ils soient marxistes
autonomes, anarchistes post-industriels, syndicalistes, féministes,
antifas, queer, verts anars, hacktivistes, travailleurs cognitifs, ouvriers
lésés, employés précaires ou en sous-traitance
et assimilés, à se rassembler et à s'organiser pour
une action politique et sociale commune en Europe. Nous sommes l'eurogénération
insurgée : notre idée de l'Europe est radicale, xénophile,
libertaire, antidistopienne, celle d'un espace démocratique ouvert
capable de contrer les atlantistes, les hobbesiens, les darwinistes, les
fauteurs de guerre, et le néolibéralisme sécuritaire.
Networkers et Flextimers européens unissons-nous : il y a un monde
de liberté véritable liberté à gagner !
